FRENCH LIEUTENANT - BY DEDJA DES FORGES (CHERI BIBI/DJALA) OUT OF SHIREA CRYSTAL (CRYSTAL MAGICIAN/LALAYLA)

Frenchie, is also a home bred out of the Crystal Magician mare Sihrea Crystal by another cheri Bibi son Dedja des Forges, who was out of Djala, a full sister to Djelfor, one of the top Haras national sires.  Frenchie won 5 Arab races including the Silver Jebel Ali final at Newmarket, before commencing his endurance career, he has quickly achieved advanced status, comming second by a whisker in a racing finish in his first race ride at Margam Park on the 13th of May, a brilliant performance in open company. Frenchie then won the 80K Young Rider championship at Cirencester, making him the the only horse to beat Courtside in two seasons.  He finshed his season by winning the 80K FEI ER at Red Dragon with Lorna Kidson.

2008 was a mixed season for Frenchie, comming 2nd to Mystic at Harling Drove, 4th at Breamore, 3rd at Euston Park 2* 119K and finishing with a brilliant win in in the 2 day 160K at Red dragon, was mixed with the disappointments of Sangatte France and failing at the last vet gate in the 3* 160K at Euston Park.  But that's horses for you.

Frenchie was awarded 3rd place in both the Senior grandprix and Adonis trophy's at the recent EGB awards.

Frenchie's first ER of 2009 was The Kings forest Ride at the end of March, where he finished a creditable 3rd, this was followed two weeks later by a brilliant win in the FEI 2* 120K at Haywood Oaks, winning in the fastest speed of the day 21.7K.

After a year on the side lines, Frenchie returned in great form starting with a 2nd place at Euston Part in the FEI 1*, this was followed by a great 2nd at Ridgeway in the 100K and the best condition award. The season finished on a winning note with a win at Breamore Tenantry in the 100K.

2012 - what a amazing year we warmed up with a 2nd place in the 80K ER at Jubilee Trail, then a 3rd in the 2* 120K at Haywood.  The decision was then made to have a shot at the big one, 100 miles in one day everything went to plan and we finished in 6th at Euston Park.  4 weeks later we were back at Euston for the 2* 120K where we finished in 5th place and the only British finisher.

2013- What can I say, he started with a grade 1 at our warm up ride, followed by a win at Kings Forest in the snow of their YR 2* in the fastest time of the day!  This was followed by the most amazing 3rd place at Royal Windsor, the top UK finisher, BEST CONDITION and Frenchie and Dace got to meet the Queen!  We finished the season with another win at Three Rivers.....
